That primary supplier had established a large inventory at favorable rates to meet the needs of the company's clients. Following that announcement, additional suppliers have come forward offering similar terms. "Since we made the announcement that we were opting to go with a primary supplier for the majority of our materials, a number of other suppliers in our network have stepped-up with offers of more favorable rates," said the company's chief financial officer.
"We are currently reviewing the new rates that the these suppliers are offering, but we do intend to keep a focus on our primary supplier as the provider of the majority of our Redford roofing materials for the time being. We don't want to shift a lot of business around in a willy-nilly fashion, but we will do whatever is best for our clients; if we have a firm commitment for materials coming from another supplier, we may have to rescale some of the activity going to our current primary provider."
While the company is careful to say that they do not plan on replacing their current primary Redford roofing material source, they have not ruled out the possibility that other roofing manufacturers may see an increase in the amount of activity being directed their way.
